The 25-metre competition pool with six lanes is ideal for lane swimming, swimming lessons and aqua sports. The pool offers plenty of room to work on technique, fitness and confidence in the water. The swimming pool is well accessible for visitors with a physical disability, thanks to a disability lift and a sloped entry. The movable floor makes it possible to adjust the water depth, so the pool is suitable for both young children and experienced swimmers.

A sustainable swimming pool
The building of swimming pool De Schelft is nearly energy-neutral. For example, it uses energy-generating heat pumps and solar panels with large battery storage. The new building also reuses materials from the previous pool, De Oude Schelft: part of the old wooden slats were processed into the new design. The Salvation Army (Leger des Heils) was asked to sand these slats, resulting in a beautiful finish.
