Het Strand is located on the beach of Katwijk, right in front of the Witte Kerk, with a unique view of the sea.
From your seat, with the North Sea just a few metres away, you can casually enjoy the spectacle of the sea. The kitchen revolves around fresh fish: whatever the fishermen deliver that day determines the menu, complemented by oysters, lobster and a seafood tasting. Served in a cosy, informal atmosphere inside or on the terrace with sea views.
What to expect
Het Strand is open all year round, daily from 10.00 to 23.30. The menu includes fish soup, tuna tartare, a fish trio, lobster from the plancha, fruits de mer and a seafood tasting with half a lobster and three types of fish. For groups of 8 or more, a table or package can be arranged in advance by phone or email.
Special evenings
Het Strand regularly organises special evenings, such as seafood dinners, “Meat the Butcher” evenings and wine tastings with demonstrations — often with a live fish show. Keep an eye on the agenda on the official website for current dates.
Private dining
The Zeebar side or the terrace can be exclusively reserved for private groups: business dinners, birthdays, anniversaries, reunions and weddings (from drinks to dinner).

Right next to Het Strand, in a prime spot between Beachclub Zomers and the restaurant, are the coastal cottages of Kusthuisjes.nl: two bedrooms with four box-spring beds, a mezzanine with panoramic sea views, a fully equipped open kitchen, espresso machine, dishwasher, underfloor heating and a veranda with a glass windbreak — bookable all year round.
